Intercoastal Design offers networking services for both business and personal use. We can set up both wired and wireless networks. Set-up includes purchasing the necessary products, installing the necessary software and hardware. We will NOT be willing to crawl under homes or run cable through attics. We believe it is in our best interest to stay away from jobs that require us to drill or significantly alter portions of a home.

 

Besides installing modems, routers, Ethernet cards, software, etc., we offer services to make already existing networks safer. Many people are completely unaware of the risks involved with setting up home networks, especially wireless networks. Nearly half of people who setup their own networks have improperly configured security settings. Some even keep their router's passwords as factory defaults (e.g. 'admin' 'admin'). Security holes such as this allow other people to log on and use your Internet connection. For a small fee we are willing to come to homes and businesses and secure already existing networks.
